I remember when as a kid, my parents forbade me from multiplayer video games, claiming that a stalker would come and find me. I always brushed that idea off to the side, thinking it couldn't happen to me. Though, it never did, I now have heard multiple accounts from various sources of men and even women, using the internet as a way to find their next victim. The above picture is a perfect example. On the internet, you never really know who you are talking to. Even though you may trust that person, it is very easy to lie on the internet. Facebook is a perfect way to stalk someone, without anyone knowing it. Many kids claim that they have over a thousand friends, but only know about 100 personally, so those other 900 can be anyone, and chances are, one of them may, in fact, be a stalker looking to harm you in one way or another. One case reports a women was reportedly stalked by multiple men, who would leave her "filthy, disgusting phone calls." http://goo.gl/g7y6Ss The women then developed a chronic fear of going outside of her house, and suffered intense weight loss. The internet is a very dangerous place, and social media only increases that danger.
